My proposal for the Triangle exhibition space was to create two, wall-mounted tiles made up of one of the glaze mixtures I’ve made (Borax Frit with between 3-4% Silicon Carbide), demonstrating the work I’ve done exploring the idea of the medium as a sculptural object. I wanted to sand down the surfaces of the tiles to reveal the complex network of bubbles and caverns created during the firing process.
